DEEDEE'S QUALITY OF LIFE
If you wish to do something for Deirdre, you may place a donation in her favor. Donations do NOT have to be monetary, there are many things that Deedee needs in her daily life.
THINGS DEEDEE NEEDS
1. CLOTHINGDeedee is growing a lot, and the clothes you are staying. Clothing donations are greatly appreciated. Its size is 6c or 5 / 6.
2. ADAPTED TOYS
As for toys, we are always looking interactive objects that might draw your attention (remember that is 2 years old). The perfect combination is of light, movement and music. We currently use the "clicker" TASH Micro Light to activate the toy because it active with 7 grams of pressure. We are now testing a "switch" sensor. If you have adapted toys that do not use, send them.
3. MOTORMED for PT
This team makes it to exercise the muscles of the arms and legs. As is electric, just making moves to simulate the movement of hands or legs to pedal. For those who do not have moviniento, this device is a success! Deirdre could increase muscle strength in this.
4. TABLET IPAD or SIMILAR
When Deedee is out of the house is difficult to have your Tobii communication device. With an IPAD she could communicate with more certainty (with assistance) and could be entertained only with the various applications that can adapt and accept "switch".
5. HOT TUB FOR AQUATHERAPY
Conduct aquatherapy is very beneficial for our children, as under water they move freely.
6. ADAPTED TRANSPORTATION
At present we do not have transportation, so we rely on ambulances to carry Deedee to medical appointments. We find it very difficult to Deedee to enjoy parks, beaches or any other type of activity because we have no way to carry it. We need a van adapted with at least one foldable ramp or lift to Deedee can enter with his wheelchair.
7. SPECIAL NEEDS STROLLER EASYS
We need a stroller in case the wheelchair breaks down or in case we need a lighter way to transport Deirdre. EasyS is an adapted stroller with tilt-in-space, which we need for Deirdre specific illness.
8. FRIENDS TO VISIT HER
Deedee thrives in meeting people, and seeing them every once in a while. Sadly, most people that she meets she never sees again. Deedee enjoys books and genuine play. Come on, get to know our diva. You will be amazed at all the things our yound diva can actually teach you!
